This extensive multi-year project involved the phased refurbishment and consolidation of Rio Tinto’s Iron Ore headquarters across multiple levels of the iconic Central Park Tower in Perth’s CBD. The refurbishment, designed by Hassell, transformed approximately 30,000 sqm of workspace to create a flexible, contemporary, and premium-grade office environment for around 3,000 staff. The project focused on modern agile work concepts, sustainability, and high-quality finishes, with the work successfully executed across multiple stages within a highly active, occupied commercial building. (Completed 2018–2020).
Our Role
As Commercial Manager for the Rio Tinto Head Office Upgrade & Refurbishment, the role focused on managing the commercial viability and financial performance of the construction contracts, vendors and consultants, ensuring adherence to all terms and conditions related to money, risk, and legal obligations for this extensive multi-year project.
